After hearing Ed's presentation and remembering those good old days, I was looking for Tony LaRocca so I could see if I could sign up for another 30 years. Then reality hit me. I cannot run up a ladder any more, it is more like 1 rung at a time, holding on to the beams with both hands. My grip is not what it was when I could hold the Hurst tool like it was a big toy. To crawl down a hallway, black and hot with smoke, breathing through an air pack, hoping to find a person if they were there, but really hoping no one was home at the time. Knowing I could not make the A team, other than in spirit.
